M.A.T.E. Retail

The expertise your aisles don't have.

You cannot hire an automotive specialist onto every floor, and training will not close the gap at retail wages and retail turnover. M.A.T.E. Retail puts one in your team's hands instead, on hardware built for a shop floor and loaded with your own range. The same intelligence is also available to integrate into your site or app.

On your floor

M.A.T.E. Retail

M.A.T.E. Retail

In the aisle, with the customer in front of them, your team can answer the question that was actually asked. Three components on one handheld device, pre-loaded with your range.

  • Component one

    Pronto Companion

Your range, connected and searchable by vehicle rather than by category. A staff member asks the question the customer actually asked.

  • Component two

    M.A.T.E. Torque

Staff communications across every device on the floor. The person who knows the answer is rarely the person standing in front of the customer.

  • Component three

    M.A.T.E. AI

The intelligence, scoped to what you stock. It gives a new starter on their second shift the same answer your best staff member would give.

  • HardwarePDA or Zebra handheld units. Designed for a small rugged screen, gloved or dirty hands, a noisy floor, standing up, one hand occupied. This is not a phone app scaled down.
  • Commercial modelAn upfront per-device cost plus an ongoing per-store licence. Priced per store rather than per query, deliberately, so your cost is a predictable line item and not a function of your own success.

M.A.T.E. Engine

M.A.T.E. Engine

The same intelligence, online rather than in store, surfaced inside your own product as Powered by M.A.T.E. It can run as its own experience or as a capability inside an assistant you already have.

  • What you integrateThree endpoints (consultation, catalogue sync and analytics) over server-to-server authentication, with a three-layer catalogue matching process that maps vehicle specifications to your SKUs.
  • What stays with usThe models, the rule set and the agents. The layer is never handed over, which is what protects the IP and keeps the rules outside anyone's margin structure.
  • What you keepThe customer, the brand, the transaction and the data relationship. We are not a retailer inside your retail.
  • Co-brandingWhite-label or co-branded. The Powered by M.A.T.E. line is designed to survive inside someone else's design system, at small sizes, on backgrounds we don't control.

The by-product that may be worth more than the advice

Every time the intelligence identifies a product type a customer needs and finds no match in your range, we record it.

Aggregated, that is recorded unmet demand: what your customers came in for, in your stores, and did not find. It is a buying decision input no catalogue analysis produces, because a catalogue can only tell you about the things you already stock.

We build it as a deliberate product rather than a side effect, and how range gaps are handled is written into the agreement rather than left to discretion.

How an engagement runs

  • 01 · DemoAgainst the live system, on vehicles and questions you choose. Bring your technical and risk teams.
  • 02 · ScopingWhich surface, which range, what a catalogue sync looks like against your data, and what the integration actually costs your engineering team.
  • 03 · Paid pilotA defined deployment with agreed success measures, so the decision to roll out is made on evidence rather than on a deck.
  • 04 · RolloutWith our values terms settled in the contract before anything goes in front of a customer.

What our values commit us to

Questions from retail partners

Do we get access to the models or the rule set?

No. The layer is never handed over. You integrate against an API. That protects our IP, and it protects the credibility of the answer your customer receives, because rules you cannot edit are rules that cannot be tuned toward margin.

Can the digital option run inside an assistant we already have?

Yes. The Engine works as an add-on capability inside a partner's existing assistant, surfaced as Powered by M.A.T.E., as well as a standalone experience.

Do you need our customer purchase history?

No. Purchase correlation improves ranking where it is available, but the needs-based logic (project components derived from the job) carries the experience on its own. We build and demonstrate to that standard.

What does it cost?

The Engine is priced in intelligence-based tiers; M.A.T.E. Retail is an upfront per-device cost plus a per-store licence. Figures are set per deployment, and we would rather scope yours properly than publish a number that does not fit it.

Is M.A.T.E. a competitor to us?

We sell parts on our own consumer product, and we are direct about that. What we do not do is run a house brand, so there is nothing we are quietly steering anyone towards. Inside your deployment, the intelligence works on your range and the customer stays yours.
